JOHN Q - greatly moving movie..=')
14th August 2010, Saturday morning around 2am~
the story ended with The Voice Inside My Heart by Patti LaBelle if i'm not mistaken.. the OST for dis significant movie, JOHN Q.
ONE OF THE MOST TOUCHING, BRAVE, AND MOVING MOVIE I HAVE EVER HAD THE CHANCE TO WATCH.=')
People say things happen for a reason.. Well i do believe that especially now. Juz when u tot u screw things up badly, there are juz certain things that might happen, which will make u believe otherwise. One of the main reasons why i find this movie very meaningful, is the fact that i once had a father, who suffered from a heart failure, n desperately needed a heart transplant. However, i have eventually lived with the fact that it was his time when God called upon him.
So this well written movie had definitely brought tears to my eyes.. Imagine seeing a father, a brave, respectful n devoted father doing whatever it takes to save his only son's life. A son who was suffering a heart failure, at such a young age. His wife was devastated, but remained supportive by her husband, as they both were hoping against hope and praying for a miracle of a heart donor.
Despite the fact that John had held several innocent people hostage, shut down the hospital's elevator system, n locked up the ER, he never intended to hurt anyone at all cost. He was juz frustrated with the fact that he's son's name couldn't be in the list of receiving heart donors, because of a complicated, uncovered insurance policy. He had great help from the people around him who cared and was concerned with his son's condition, that he received many generous donations for him and his wife to pay the cost of the heart transplant, in cold hard cash.
But there was a turn of events when the doctor in charged seemed to discharged John's son, because of the lack of payment. The story's climax unfolds as the entire nation stood by and watched the exclusive moment to moment broadcast of what was happening inside the hospital between John and the hostages, his son and his wife as well. Negotiations were made, the police surrounded the scene of the crime, n John remained saying that all he wanted was his son's name to be in that list, to receive a heart donor.
Ironically, despite the public chaos and the police busy trying to solve the issue, the hostages inside were rather amused and enjoying whatever trouble they were in. John was a good guy, they witnessed. He was juz acting intuitionally, in a desperate attempt to save his son's life.
THAT VERY SPECIAL BOND BETWEEN A FATHER AND SON was shown in this movie, and it was well played by the talented actors and actresses such as Denzel Washington himself, and THE CONSTANT SUSPENSE MADE THE MOVIE EVEN MORE ANTICIPATED TO WATCH.
AND I LOVED EVERY BIT N EVERY MOMENT OF IT.. <3<3<3
IT DEFINITELY CHANGED A PART OF ME, and made me realized something i should constantly be reminded of:
~ALWAYS TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR LOVED ONES
~BE GOOD TO OTHERS
~n APPRECIATE ALL THE BLESSINGS GOD HAS BESTOWED UPON U.
PRAY TO HIM NO MATTER WHAT, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF N NEVER GIVE UP.
AND LIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE FULLEST. . .~
